what is the most wanted and rarest bmx for a collector?
A BMX that everyone wants thats hard to find.

For me it would be the prototype 84 haro sport. Single top tube seen in chrome and white.....but thats just me

there is no real answer to your question's things are changing daily. and are you talking freestyle or race bike. you could have the best freestyle bike in the world and I would not want it. I am only into race bikes. and I am sure there are people who don't like race bikes. what is your favorite bike? have you ever owned a BMX bike? to many unanswered questions

well the one bike im dying to get back but is by far the rarest i see that i WANT is the AIR UNI it came in pink and white with chrome or teal and white with chrome. theres only 1 in the museum and its a bad pic but exactly what i want grrrrrr

If you separate the whole world of bmx bikes into categories THEN you can answer your question.
For example:
1980's Best street/vert bikes: 1987-89 GT PFT Team, 1987-1988 Haro Sport Team
1990's Best street/vert bikes: 1994 GT PFT Team, 1997 GT PFT Team, 1998 GT Tour, 1991 Haro Sport, 1998 Schwinn Torque Flite, 1999 Haro Blammo......blah blah blah
But again this is just me

i always thought they were cool but NOT that cool. everytime i see one theyre selling for way too much money i mean seriously its a cw lol i think somehow we created this monster and now the ppl buying them are just buying them for bragging rights and not because it was a killer bike in the 80's. just my opinion:/

1983 jmc blue cruiser frame and fork.only 6 cruisers was painted in blue.2 known to be left.
i have one of them.i found this frame in a bike shop.i had no idea of the rareness of it. i saw it and said, hey a jmc.the owner of the shop told me that it was a 20''. i said no,its a 24''. he started to get mad, and said that its a 20'.i said,ok its a 20''. i bought it and when i got home, i emailed jim milton of jmc and asked him if about his repop stickers,and send him a pic with the serial numbers. he comes back and siad that its 1 of 6 that was done that year in blue.WOW. i posted the frame and fork on vintagebmx.com.then thats when i found out how rare it is.only 2 known to be left,and i have one of them.i never did buy and stickers off jim.the frame and fork is all origional. i built up the bike as a survivor. the skyways are nos.

that is a bad a$$ cruiser there. I want that 24" Diamond Back cruiser/ racer that they only made a few of for team members back in early 80s. (so sweet)
Im loving the neon ,flourescent colors on these newschool bikes and Its makin me like the newschool rides more

Theres no right answer cause whats most desired by me isnt by everyone. That being said the rarest bike im lookin for is the
81 GT Pro, cause they had a small downtube they broke easy and so thats why theyre hard to find now. I would also like A PK Loop or Quadangle Loop and those are pretty hard to get too.
Can you ever really have enough GT's?

The one I'm still looking for is the 2003 Kappa Adidas cruiser. My understanding is that about 70 were made, and they were distributed to select Adidas stores around the world. I came VERY close to landing one back in December, but it wasn't meant to be. I have a feeling that it'll happen one day when I least expect it.
